While the exact processes vary from region to region, all of our handmade rugs are created by artisans and master-weavers who carry forward the cultural traditions and artistic legacies of their ancestors. This video illustrates the many steps that go into creating a fine heirloom-quality rug: from gathering the raw material (in most cases virgin wool), to spinning the wool into yarn, hand-dyeing the yarn with natural dyes, hand-weaving the rug using old-world techniques, then trimming, finishing and finally cleaning the carpets.
